About Me
Hi, I'm Shivam. I am a postdoctoral researcher in UBS Vannes, France, currently working with Prof. Sébastien Lefèvre and Dr. Minh-Tan Pham for object detection and image segmentation in very high resolution remote sensing images with noisy labels.
I was a PhD scholar and a Prime Minister's Research Fellow (2018) in Centre of Studies in Resources Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (2018-2023). I worked under Prof. Biplab Banerjee in the Deep Learning and Remote Sensing Lab, primarily on on developing efficient algorithms for the applications of image classification, dimensionality reduction, multimodal learning and image fusion, hyperspectral unmixing and visual question answering, all in the context of remotely sensed data. I have been using supervised and self-supervised learning, alongwith attention mechanisms, knowledge distillation, feedback networks, GANs and several other techniques
Previously, I had finished my degree of Master of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (2016-2018) in Geoinformatics, Civil Engineering. I also hold a degree of Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from National Institute of Technology Bhopal (2011-2015).
My research interests include analysis of remotely sensed data using techniques from Machine Learning and Deep Learning domain.
